A taste of two cities, Brodeurs Bistro unites the flavours of Montreal and New Orleans in a spectacular way. From their Bayou shrimp and Louisiana taco appetizer to their Po Boys and Jambalaya, you are sure to experience the Cajun influence. The feeling when you enter is that of a casual friendly pub with plenty of lovely staff to answer any questions and take your order. It can be busy, especially on weekends, but my order was delivered within 5 minutes of ordering on a Wednesday at 12:30!
They have a Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich that ranges in size from the Petit 4 oz to Le Monster at 16 oz. If something less spicy is more your style then you can enjoy the Buttermilk Chicken sandwich, Schnitzel or Tourtiere. Something lighter? Try one of their Memphis Crunch or Louisiana Crispy Tortilla salads or a bowl of Shrimp and Seafood Chowder or Canadian Split Pea soup. I had the Pulled Pork Po Boy that was filled with tender pork, sweet with barbecue sauce and creamy coleslaw, with a side of the quinoa kale salad that had plenty of candied pecans and craisins….delicious! My lunch partner ordered 2 of the 28 sides to make an amazing lunch of a Mini Tortilla Salad and French fries, loaded with garlic and parmesan cheese (the best fries I’ve ever eaten!!)
The portions are large and the prices reasonable. They are licensed so you can wash your meal down with a frosty beer or glass of wine. A nice selection of desserts are available if you have any room left once you’ve finished your meal.
They are located at 3550 Mt. Lehman Road just north of Highstreet Mall and the Automall.
Mina is the lucky winner of NOVO’s monthly draw for a $50 gift certificate to Brodeurs Bistro and we are sure Mina and her husband will enjoy a lunch or dinner that will bring them back to Brodeurs time and time again.
