The magic of Christmas comes in many forms from; snow falling on Christmas Eve, finding the last parking stall in front of the mall when rushing about finding last minute items, to a basket full of Lotions, Potions and Creams!!
Santa arrived a little early this year to deliver our Monthly Draw Prize, and with the help of one of his volunteer elves, Dr Kareem Nada presented Margaret with a basket full of lotions, creams and bath accessories lovingly made by one of our very talented clients, Virginia
Virginia has her Master’s degree in Nursing and it was through her training that she became very aware of many unhealthy chemical additives used in commercial products. Over the years Virginia noticed that many of her patients were experiencing reactions to the store bought brands. It was this awareness and concern to use more natural based products that encouraged Virginia to seek out healthier choices.
Six years ago, this new found interest prompted Virginia to attend a series of local courses that resulted in her new endeavour of being an Aroma Therapist. Aromatherapy, also referred to as Essential Oil therapy, can be defined as the art and science of utilizing naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonize, and promote the health of body, mind, and spirit.
Having a nursing background and awareness of working in a clean, sterile environment made her an ideal candidate to begin this new occupation!
Utilizing non-greasy, non-comedogenic, non-irritating base creams that absorb well, Virginia adds a blend of essential oils to create a beautiful, natural healthy product, that she sells privately and at craft fairs. The proceeds from her sales at the Christmas craft fair, Virginia donates to the Abbotsford Food bank.
Although retired, the phone does not stop ringing with requests for her body butters, moisturizing face creams, hand lotions and bars of soap which keeps her much busier than her husband would like!
